We've been proudly working alongside our artisan team since 2009, building relationships that go far beyond business. Together, we've created a brand rooted in fair trade principles, sustainability and genuine human connection. By working directly with our artisans, we're able to ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and long-term opportunities for the talented individuals behind every product.

One of the questions we get asked the most is: “Where do you get your ideas from?”

The truth is, the inspiration behind our felt characters comes from all over the place — but a huge part of the process starts with you, our lovely customers.💛

Every year, we spend lots of time at events like Spring Fair at the NEC and Christmas markets across the country, chatting with customers and hearing what you’d love to see next from Felt So Good. These events are always full of ideas, feedback, laughter, and the occasional wonderfully unusual request!

Once we return home full of ideas, our talented design team ✨ Adele, Natalie & Ella ✨ begin bringing them to life. Alongside customer suggestions, they also come up with plenty of wonderfully quirky ideas of their own, which is where some of our most extraordinary and much-loved characters are born!

The design process can start in lots of different ways. Sometimes with written notes 📝, sometimes inspiration images 📷, and sometimes quick sketches ✍🏼 and colour charts, as the first concepts begin to take shape. No matter how the idea begins, every character starts as a creative spark 🌟.

We then send these concepts over to our incredible artisan team in Nepal, who use traditional needle felting and wet felting techniques 🪡 to carefully transform our ideas into beautifully 3D handcrafted decorations full of personality and charm.

Honestly, we’re constantly amazed by the skill of our Nepalese team. They have an incredible talent for adding those tiny finishing touches! 💛

Once the first samples arrive back with us, our designers make any final tweaks and adjustments. Sometimes it’s a tiny change to an expression, a different accessory, or adjusting colours and proportions until everything feels just right. 🤩 Then, after months of creativity, collaboration, and craftsmanship, the new collection is ready for its launch. Every January, we launch our new characters for the year ahead.

From your ideas and feedback to sketches, samples, and finished decorations, every Felt So Good character is created with creativity, teamwork, and a lot of love, and we think that’s what makes them so special. 💛

After months of planning, designing, photographing, writing, tweaking, and probably analysing every detail too much, we’re so excited to finally welcome you to the ✨brand new Felt So Good website✨
